University Program

The FSEP University program runs for 3.5 hours and is intended as a curriculum component for undergraduate and postgraduate students in medical and midwifery courses across Australia and New Zealand. The University program is designed as an introduction to cardiotocography (CTG); ensuring students have an understanding of the fundamental principles of CTG as they commence their clinical placement. There is no assessment conducted with this program.

University Program Outline

 Utero placental function, fetal heart rate control and the normal CTG

 Short Break
 15 minutes

 The abnormal CTG, interpretation and management.
 1 hour 15 minutes

 CTG Workshop and Discussion
